Decision Making - A Process
The process of decision making involves a choice that can be made from the available alternatives. The steps are to identify the acceptable alternatives, choose the best option or alternative and implement the option into action or operation.
Problem-solving is also a part of decision making process. Both problem solving and decision making process to be successful needs to identify the possible alternatives and this can be done through brain-storming.
Brain-storming for all the possible options and then choosing the best option by calculating the advantages and disadvantages of each option.
Certainty or uncertainty of a decision making process depends on the availability of information needed.
SWOT Analysis is another useful technique to facilitate the decision-making process.
